When the doors swing open on Friday morning, a brightly-colored carry-on can be seen rolling through the office and the familiar sound of a duffel being dropped by a desk can be heard echoing through the hallway between the hours of 8:45 am-10 am.
Typically, Kipling staff members pack their weekend schedule with travel plans. So, when we found out that some of our favorite people we're headed out of town for a quick getaway, we casuallyyy invited ourselves to come along for the ride. Below, is a recap of where they went, what they did, and a pretty pic of the bag they chose to accompany them on their journey.

Where did you go with Alvy?
Bel Air Maryland, outside of Baltimore. My sister lives there with her fam , and I spent the weekend exploring the countryside around their home. We also drove up to Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania to bask in the beautiful weather and explore the botanical garden.
Spill it! What’s inside your Alvy Tote?
Cameras, cameras, and more cameras. No joke, I had 3. I have my DSLR for the fancy pics, my film camera that was my dad’s in the 80’s, and obvs my iPhone to post on Instagram stories. Other than that, chapstick, gum , wallet, air pods, keys, and a charger.
Favorite feature?
The best part was how spacious it was. It was filled with all of the things I usually carry, plus had two fairly large cameras and it still all fit without being too heavy or awkward to carry.
Trip highlights, to-dos, or insider tips to share?
Broom’s Bloom, the best ice cream and café/dairy farm. The scoops are huge and everything is fresh and delicious. Also, they arguably have the best crab chowder in Maryland.
Where to next?
I actually have a trip coming up very soon-- I will be traveling to Portland, Maine. I have never been and it looks so beautiful. Sometimes you just need to get away from the city for a relaxing weekend! ��

Where did you go with Alvy?
Upstate New York; to the Catskills for a weekend getaway from the city.
Spill it! What’s inside your Alvy Tote?
Everything I need when traveling - a book, a shawl, a water bottle, snacks, and miscellaneous bric-a-brac in the many small pockets .
Favorite feature?
Actually really liked the dual-carry feature on the Alvy. The top handles are just the right length right for carrying it in your hand so it doesn't drag on the floor or swing around too wildly, and the slightly-squarish shape of the bag ensures that it sits comfortably on your back when used as a backpack. Super convenient for traveling when you need the extra maneuverability.
Trip highlights, to-dos, insider trips you want to share?
If you take a train up to the Catskills, like I did, make sure you the place you are staying is close to the activities you would like to do, because getting a cab in the area if you stay in one of the more remote lodges is pretty much impossible .
Where to next?
Someplace, any place warm for the winter.

Where did you go with Alvy?
Long Beach Island, NJ! It's great to get out of the city and not have to leave NJ to get to a beach! I spent the week at my parent's beach house with my family and of course my dog, Lola. ��
Spill it! What’s inside your tote?
My wallet, a new book- Pretty Mess, endless Chanel lip glosses, dog treats, and of course some barre socks!
Favorite feature?
How it keeps me hands-free! I love how during the day it's so easy and comfortable as a backpack-- Alvy is especially perfect for bike rides! �� At night, I could quickly change up my look for dinner and drinks!

My favorite donut shop is Shore Good Donuts! Who can resist donuts at the beach?

Mexico for New Years! I'll be due for another beach escape from the city.
