Holiday DIY: Be A Textbook Wrap Star

We’ve got a fun way to carry holiday cheer into the new year—wrapping your textbooks for a fresh semester in festive patterns. Choosing a coordinating print or color is the ultimate way to complement your backpack and school accessories!

Our tip? Use leftover wrapping paper from the holidays . You can also make this an eco-friendly activity by saving the paper from a few gifts that you’ve carefully unwrapped and using to cover your books. Not a student anymore? Wrap a few hardcover books and display on shelves to add some patterned punch!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Wrapping paper of choice 

Scissors

Here’s what to do:

	
Start by placing your book in the center of the paper. You should have about 2-3 inches that surround the open book.
	
At the top and bottom of the book, fold the paper along the edge to get a nice crease.
	
Remove the book and fold the paper along the crease, for the entire length of the paper.
	
Close the book, lift the cover and tuck it into the folds you created. Then turn the book over and do the same for the back cover, making sure the book is closed so you have enough paper to accommodate.

Voila! A chic new cover.
