how to host a girls' night in

Call up your friends and grab your remote for some well needed quality time with the girls. It’s award show season, so get excited to watch the red carpet’s best dressed celebs, anticipate who will take home the awards, and sing alongside the TV during your favorite performances. While you watch, choose a theme, pick some fun games, and check out our ideas for hosting a fabulous girls’ night in.

First things first… Foodie!

Cupcakes, macaroons, flavored popcorn, oh my! Make it a baking night filled with all of your favorite sweet treats with the help of our Pinterest. Take a stab at making heart shaped cookies, cotton candy donuts, ice cream cone cupcakes, or my absolute fave… lemon cakelets with vanilla ice cream! Supply your guests with homemade drinks such as this blood orange margarita, or our very own recipe for rose infused lemonade. Get plain aprons and DIY them so everyone can have fun making a mess in the kitchen.

Games Galore

Trendy multiplayer games such as Heads Up, Trivial Pursuit, and Cards Against Humanity are always fun, however you can always make things interesting by creating games of your own. Have everyone write a question down on a piece of paper, fold them and place them into a bowl. Go around in a circle, have everyone randomly choose a question that they have to answer about themselves, and be amazed at the responses. Or, bring out your inner fashionista, host your own version of Fashion Police, and have fun critiquing the celebs down the red carpet.

Spa Treatment

Treat yourself and your girls to a well-needed time of relaxation. Save a trip to the salon and the expense of going to the pros. Swap nail polishes amongst each other to switch up your mani/pedis. Watch makeup/hair tutorials and create a mini spa treatment station to bring the salon to your home.
