Photographer and social media wunderkind, Hannah Sider, is constantly in motion, with that joie de vivre that can only come from doing what you love. It's not hard to see why-- moving to New York City 2 years ago and already racking up career highlights like shooting Hailey Baldwin, Meghan Collison for The Room, and Hanne Gaby for Vogue Japan. We sat down with her to find out her Make Happy indulgence and what keeps her energy level so high... Describe your typical week "What I like about my job is that there is no typical day - everything happens last minute. One day I’ll have models coming by my studio all day for portraits, the next week I might be shooting Fashion Week in Paris, or for Vogue Japan or recently I even shot a music video. Basically I get to work with awesome people all the time. I love my job!" How did you get started as a photographer? "I didn’t choose this life it chose me - just kidding! I’ve always been really into photography then I went to school for Fashion so my photography took more of a Fashion focus. When I came to New York, I made a lot of connections from going out and from my Tumblr and Instagram. Most people still contact me first through social media and one job has lead to the next." What’s your Kipling Must-have? "The Fabian Cosmetics Case – It’s perfect for storing film on the go! I'll use one color for new film and another for used." What advice would you give your teenage self? "I would say… we’re in a time where we can create our own careers, and we’re not following the same career paths of former generations the whole landscape has changed, so do something that you love – then you’ll do a good job of it." What’s your “Make Happy” indulgence? "Summer in New York!"
